If you are a tradesperson with a significant amount of work experience in one of 57 Red Seal certifiable trades, you may be eligible to apply to write the Interprovincial Exam in order to receive journeyman certification. On average, Red Seal certified trades people command higher wages and have a significantly easier time finding employment.

Consult the provincial training authority in your province of residence to determine if you are eligible to challenge the examination.


By identifying the similarities and differences by province, this program will assist tradespeople in the completion of a application to challenge the Interprovincial Red Seal exam.
